Welcome to 2016!

Welcome to 2016!

A very happy New Year to you all.  We are entering into 2016 with eagerness and determination to drive forward with our projects and gain a positive outcome for our clients.

Many projects are not as straight forward as we would like and the London Road, Roade Retail scheme is a good example of this.  It sits on a site that has had several refusals on it over the years and as the access forms a 4th spur onto a busy roundabout which leads into Roade, it has not been the easiest of projects.  However, we persevered and submitted an Appeal Statement of Case, which led to a secured agreement with Northamptonshire County Council Highways department to improve the junction.  We are expecting an appeal decision for this one anytime soon and will let you know the outcome as soon as we hear.

Another project that we currently have running is the proposed conversion of The White Lion pub in the centre of Moulton.  Sadly, due to poor trading, of which seems to be all too commonplace nowadays, the pub closed a few months ago.  We have since applied for planning permission to convert the building into 2 no. semi-detached dwellings, one a 4-bedroom and the other a 3-bedroom unit.  Along with this application, we also submitted plans for 2 no. 4-bedroom units in the grounds of the pub.  We are awaiting the decision on this application and will keep you updated on progress.

We submitted an appeal for a residential development at The Sorrels in Isham and are pleased to say that it was successful, with permission being granted in November for 9 in no. houses, 5 of which were for affordable housing.  We have subsequently submitted another application for the remainder of the site and eagerly await this decision.

We love this time of year in particular, because we are quite often approached by enthusiastic and rejuvenated clients after having a relaxed Christmas break, who are full of ideas and looking to take on a new project.  We really enjoy being a part of this process.
